Fieldston Finance Club Makes Strides

The Females in Finance club at Ethical Culture Fieldston School is only a few months old, but they’re already working hard.
Started in September, the club has made an effort to get women involved in the male-dominated fields of finance and investment after junior student Rosemary Jiang noticed that even Fieldston’s own investing club was mostly populated by boys.
Just three months after they got off the ground, the girls took part in the Knowledge@Wharton High School Investment Competition. Their strategy, which invested $100,000 in digital cash for the venture capital fund Seedcamp, was a winner — the club was one of 12 teams selected to travel to San Francisco in March to take part in the regional finals.
